Bamboo flooring..... when installing below grade???

on top of a cured, unsealed concrete slab. we sell at menards a moisture cure urethane adhesive that is recommended to use when installing this brands bamboo product. i would like to know if prolonged water (say from a flooded basement) will have major effect on the glue that holds the product together? and the adhesive that is holding it to the concrete?

Bamboo flooring..... when installing below grade???
Yes it will, if it flooded once some of the floor would more than likely come up
Reply:You would have a bigger problem ....Think outside the box on this one .....Ready........" BLACK MOLD "
Reply:You need to check the label. I would never install any type of composition wood floor over an unsealed concrete. The local floor supply installer company can be very usefrul in giving you advise.
Reply:Ok. first of all if prolonged water on wood floor will damage any wood. However engineered wood will last longer. The reason for that is the glue that binds the engineer wood it helps it last longer in water. So your problem isn't the glue but the flooring it self. The glue will be fine. But, that's it.
Reply:yes it will ruin it. you should not install wood below grade. you should use a water resistant laminate product. use real wood at grade and above grade only
