I've heard that the Bamboo Fun! is great for doodling, and writing... but, is it good for actually drawing? Like, details and stuff? Not fine art or anything, just...stuff you'd draw on paper...
Bamboo Fun!?
Yup, all of the above. Here is a tech site that reviewed the product. It's got good reasons and good comments on the drawing pad. The Bamboo version is basically for business uses, but the Bamboo fun is just that, FUN!
The reviewer suggests getting the Medium sized version because the small size is just that, small. I find when drawing that the drawing flows better when I have more room to move my hand.
Here is the site, read on! http://techgage.com/article/wacom_bamboo...
When you get to the bottom of the page you will see a drop down menu for pages 2 and 3, read all of them, it's great.
Reply:Well, I just got mine for my birthday the other day and so far, what I've learned on it, has been pretty good. I haven't gotten too far into the detailing drawing yet. It takes a few days to get used to feel of the pen and tracking the cursor on screen with the pen movements on the pad. But with just the few things I've done, it's pretty precise and easy to draw with. And I'm not artistic by any means. All in all I'd recommend it! It's a lot of fun already and I haven't done 1/2 of what you can do with it.
I do recommend however, that you keep the size of your computer screen in mind when you buy one. I asked for the small size, because my laptop three weeks ago was a smaller size screen. But I had to replace my computer a few days ago, and it has a 17" screen. Sometimes it's hard to work on the small pad in proportion to the larger screen.
Reply:If you look on the website, it says that Bamboo Fun is fine for drawing, painting, etc. I've also been wanting to buy a tablet lately, so I think the Fun one is pretty good. There is also regular Bamboo, which they say is more for doodling and sketching, but I think it would work fine either way. (It's cheaper after all.)
