My husband bought me a little bamboo plant in May and it has grown about an inch and a half, most os it since we moved, in August. It's now in a western facing window. My question is, I live in Ohio and we're nearing winter. Where would be the best place in the house for the plant? Also, how on Earth can it live on water alone? It has to have some sort of nutrients to grow. How do I feed bamboo? Liquid plant food? How much? I know too much fertilizer can fry plants.
This plant was given to me on our one year wedding anniversary. I'd like to keep it healthy and happy for a long time.
