Does lucky bamboo curl?

I have 9 stalks of lucky bamboo potted in its original ceramic container about the size of a large coffee cup. On the picture it came with it shows bamboo that is curled. I was wondering if mine would curl and if it does is there anything I need to do to help it along?

Does lucky bamboo curl?
Straight and curling are different, I think --- I have both and they have never changed shapes, while growing.
Reply:I think Travis is right. Just about any plant will move towards light. Report It

Reply:The curly bamboo is trained to grow that way. Unfortunately it takes a rather long time to do.

Put the bamboo on its side with a cylinder on top and a light source above. The top of the bamboo will grow towards the light. As the bamboo grows slowly rotate the bamboo/cylinder so that the top will curl around the cylinder as it grows.
Reply:You have to shape it yourself.
Reply:I also have a beautiful lucky bamboo plant. Yes, mine does curl.

I took it out of it's original ceramic vase and placed in a larger one with marbles at the bottom of it. This allows the plant roots to grow. Also, I only fill mine with spring water at room temperature and add plant food that's specifically for the lucky bamboo plants (I can't recall the name, but it's a green liquid only requiring 3 to 4 drops).

Good Luck
Reply:Lucky Bamboo dose curl, but it needs partial sun and to be watered once a day in the afternoon. It takes three to six Weeks to curl
Reply:some bamboo curls some doesn't.
Reply:Bamboo does not curl on its own,it is shaped(curls etc) when it very young and tender,I have not been successful at doing it my self but have bought many that were curled ,they are lovely plants .I will be watching for answers to this also .: )
