bamboo flowers once in its life . but when it flowers it dies . it is also considered as bane to farmers , b'coz when bamboo flowrs there is long drought around that area and high rise in number of rats which gradually decreases and everything becomes normal . how.....................?.
Why do bamboo die after flowering .?
Bamboo is a monocarpic plant. This means that in its life it will only bloom and make seeds one time. After this happens, it is done, so it dies. Many grasses are like this.
