In March 2006, I didn't water my bamboo for a week and most of its leaves turned yellow. I cut off all the yellow leaves, and then some of the stalkes started to die off and for a few weeks, about 3 months ago, the healthy green leaves had white spots on them, I cut those leaves off too. So I was wondering if my bamboo had some disease or it just was suffering from malnutrition?
p.s. I have been watering it regularly since the "fateful week."
Bamboo health?
Bamboo needs water but does not like water logged soil. More bamboo dies from over watering than from not enough water. Bamboo also likes humidity so mist yours at least every other day -- daily would be better.
