Doesn't anybody know about clumping bamboo?

I answer bamboo questions all of the time because 1) I know quite a bit about it and 2) everybody seems to think that all bamboo is running and invasive

ITs true, running bamboo CAN be invasive if it is not maintained right. The simple solution is to buy clumping bamboo of which there are hundreds of species that thrive and require minimal maintenance from cool to tropical climate zones.

Why do people answer questions and give missleading statements when they just dont know enough to do better?

Doesn't anybody know about clumping bamboo?
I often wonder the same thing. I have over 20 varieties of bamboo in my yard, and most of them are clumpers. I do have a few runners but they are well contained in pots or raised beds w/ protection.

It's a shame that so many people regurgitate information about a plant they have no idea about. If only more people knew the good that the worlds fastest growing plant can have on environment, plus all the uses that bamboo has, then the world and their lives would be much better.
Reply:We need the points. I'm really not sure. But do you think that some people really think they know the answer.I like the ones that are clicked onto a question and while daydreaming answer another question. When you read their answer you hurry and see if you answered the question right. Yes, the ask-er has to be on their toes, if a very serious question.
Reply:because they want the points and don't care about whether the answer is right or wrong, unfortunately
