How can Bamboo be transplanted to other areas in my yard from existing Bamboo?

I have a lot of Bamboo on side of my backyard and would like to grow it on other side as well. Roots can't be dug up either, they go to China.

How can Bamboo be transplanted to other areas in my yard from existing Bamboo?
bamboo can be propagated by cutting .at least one cutting should have 2 nodes. place this cutting in shades with moist soil.after 1 months roots will develop in each nodes and shoots will follow .by this mean you can transport bamboo to other garden area.
Reply:Bamboo spreads by the roots.. You don't need much root to get it to grow somewhere else..If you have a lot of it in one area...give it a try..My brother has been trying to get rid of his for 8 years....digs %26amp; digs ... pulls up the roots...unfortunately he threw them over an embankment..now it's all over the place there too...just like posion ivy..
Reply:Why would you want to do that to yourself?! Bamboo ,if a running variety, will tear up driveways and the foundation of your home. It will spread to neighbors who will be unable to rid themselves of it. That is the sure fire way of making enemies of your neighbors and reducing the resale value of your home, and others.
