Hi i have Bamboo planted in my garden for 6 years. This winter the Bamboo went a very dark colour and the leaves appeared to have died. We are just entering summer and it still looks like this apart from the odd tiny green leaf. Is this dead? I do not know what type of bamboo this is i know its not giant but its between 6ft and 15ft tall. Can anyone help im reluctant to cut it down. I live in the UK

all the bamboo that i have had, turned yellow and started to look like they were shriveling. i dont know if that helps. good luck.
Reply:I heard that bamboos die after they bloom. So I think if yours recently bloomed it's dead.
Reply:Sounds like it got a bit of frost bite. It will soon recover in the warm weather, give it some lawn feed now, bamboo is a grass of course.
